About the role
We are looking for a compassionate and committed Registered Nurse to join our team at MHA. This is a rewarding role where you will provide high-quality nursing care and leadership, supporting residents to live with dignity, comfort and purpose.
As a Registered Nurse, you will lead an allocated team, oversee care delivery and support the wider management team to ensure safe, effective and person-centred care in line with MHA’s values and professional standards.
What you will do
- Lead the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of high-quality nursing care for residents.
- Take responsibility for ensuring residents’ personal and clinical care needs are met, providing direct care where required.
- Develop, implement and review person-centred care and support plans in partnership with residents and families.
- Manage and oversee medication safely, from ordering and storage to administration and documentation, in line with NMC and organisational requirements.
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous nursing records.
- Lead, support and supervise care staff during shifts, promoting high standards and professional practice.
- Contribute to training, supervision, appraisal and development of care staff.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals, ensuring effective communication.
- Escalate and report concerns, incidents or safeguarding issues in line with policy and the NMC Code.
- Participate in quality assurance, audits and service improvement activities.
About you
We are looking for a confident, caring professional who is committed to delivering excellent nursing care.
You will bring:
- Registered Nurse qualification with a current NMC PIN.
- Evidence of ongoing professional and clinical development.
- Experience of supervising, training and supporting care staff.
- Practical knowledge and experience of care planning.
- Good IT skills and confidence using electronic care systems.
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Sensitivity to the needs of older people and a person-centred approach.
- A flexible approach to working shift patterns, including nights and weekends.
- Experience of working with older people is desirable but not essential, as full support and training will be provided.
