Permanent – 37 hours per week
Remote working with occasional travel to Derby for meetings
Salary - £33,410 per annum
An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate, dynamic, and proactive Community Fundraising Volunteer Co-ordinator to join the experienced and established Central Volunteering Team at MHA. This role will work with MHA services across the Midlands and South of England.
Working with a range of internal and external stakeholders throughout the charity the main purpose of the role is to:
- recruit, equip and support a network of volunteer fundraisers across MHA’s communities, care homes and retirement living schemes, and in other geographic areas of support for MHA.
- work closely with churches, local services and colleagues across MHA, the post holder will build a network of community volunteers who organise fundraising activities in support of MHA. The role focuses on enabling volunteers to deliver fundraising events and activities from a pre-designed menu of fundraising opportunities, helping to generate income and build community engagement with MHA.
- Proactively advertise for volunteers using a variety of methods including MHA website, national and local organisations and through MHA’s digital (including social) channels.
- Select and onboard volunteers including interviewing, and completing any pre-volunteering checks relevant to the role
- Utilise SugarAI to create and update volunteer records which document the volunteer journey
- Build good working relationships with MHA services, churches and other organisations
- Be flexible in approach to meet the needs of volunteer applicants and in assisting colleagues
We offer the flexibility of remote working with occasional travel to head office in Derby for meetings.
The ideal candidate will be well organised to manage a high caseload of volunteers in the recruitment process, IT proficient including the use of CRM, able to prioritise and deal with a variety of different tasks and processes in a short space of time. The ideal candidate will also need to be friendly and approachable and have the ability to build good working relationships with allocates sites.
As the role is home based, a high level of commitment and motivation is required to perform at the level required to meet set targets around volunteer placement.
