Salary: £72,910.00 per annum

About the role
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to lead one of our MHA care homes as Home Manager. This is a senior leadership role with overall responsibility for clinical excellence, high-quality care delivery and the effective, sustainable management of the home.
As Home Manager, you will provide strong clinical and operational leadership, ensuring residents receive safe, person-centred care that meets their physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. You will create a positive, supportive culture for residents, families and colleagues, living out MHA’s values every day.
What you will do
- Provide overall leadership and management of the home, creating a safe, caring and respectful environment for residents and colleagues.
- Lead, motivate and develop senior and wider teams through effective recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and performance management.
- Work “on the floor” alongside colleagues when required, offering visible clinical leadership, support and guidance.
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred care planning, reviews and admissions in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Maintain clear accountability for medication management, clinical governance, health & safety and infection prevention.
- Promote residents’ dignity, independence, choice and involvement in all aspects of their care.
- Ensure zero tolerance of abuse or neglect and promote a strong safeguarding culture.
- Manage the home’s financial performance, ensuring budgets are controlled and resources are used effectively.
- Work closely with your Area Manager, Quality Business Partner and external professionals to drive continuous improvement.
About you
We are looking for a confident, values-led leader with strong clinical and management experience.
You will bring:
- 1st level Registered Nurse qualification with a current NMC PIN.
- A Level 4 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards this.
- 2–3 years’ experience in home management or a senior leadership role within a care setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge, including best practice in dementia care and complex needs.
- Proven experience of managing budgets, staffing levels and performance.
- Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
- A flexible approach, including occasional travel, overnight stays or working shifts in exceptional circumstances.
