Community Coordinator – Community Coordinator based at MHA Communities Cheshire East 

Salary: £25,987.00 Per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

Hours: 16 per week

At MHA Communities, we support older people to reduce loneliness and social isolation by creating welcoming opportunities to connect, build friendships and enjoy life. As our Community Coordinator in Cheshire West, you'll play a key role in shaping activities that make a lasting difference to people's wellbeing.  MHA Communities Cheshire West has been established in the local communities of Ellesmere Port and Neston since 1991.

About the role

Working across Ellesmere Port, Neston and the surrounding rural areas, you'll coordinate and deliver a varied programme of activities that reflects the interests and needs of local older people. Every day is different, giving you the opportunity to use your creativity, initiative and people skills to develop engaging community opportunities.

You'll:

* Coordinate and deliver a range of community activities that promote friendship, wellbeing and independence, managing a team of volunteers who support the delivery of our services.

* Develop with the scheme manager new groups and activities based on local need and participant feedback.

* Support existing activities, including social groups, lunch clubs, outings and wellbeing sessions and coordinate our volunteer teams.

* Maintain accurate records using our CRM system, Microsoft Office and other digital systems.

We're looking for someone who:

* Enjoys working with people and building relationships.

* Is organised, enthusiastic and able to work independently.

* Has good communication and administrative skills.

* Is confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and other digital systems.

* Has a full driving licence and access to a car, as travel across the local area is required.
